Sorting guide
The right bag makes the whole route count
TOTE saves you the trip, but the sorting starts at home. There are four bags: paper and cardboard, plastic and metal, glass and general waste. Sort them well, leave them at the door or hand them over, and TOTE takes all four.

This one does not go to an ecopoint: the courier puts it in the municipal general waste container. It is included in your subscription, like the other three.
Common mistakes
Small fixes that prevent a bad bag
Most sorting errors are easy to avoid once you know the pattern: packaging goes by material, dirty waste goes in the black bag, and special waste has its own point.
Drink cartons combine cardboard, plastic and aluminium, so they belong in the yellow ecopoint.
Empty and drain packaging before recycling. Washing everything wastes water and is not required.
Empty the paper or glass into the matching ecopoint. The plastic bag itself goes to the yellow ecopoint.
If paper or cardboard is greasy, wet or full of food, keep it out of the blue ecopoint and put it in your black bag. TOTE collects that one too.
Use the pilhão for batteries, the oleão for cooking oil, textile containers for clothes, and WEEE collection points for small electronics.
